Need Policy on Multi-account play

Earlier this week we had a meeting where we discussed priorities of different features we plan to implement.

We are currently looking into implementing diminishing returns on Banish, to stop Banish grinding on two devices, and also into different solutions that would prevent you from creating structures for yourself to destroy on one device.

That leaves us two bigger forms of undesirable behaviors: Creating yourself structures to destroy on two devices, and using two accounts to maximize your Area Control Bonus. We'll keep the former in mind and possibly revisit it after implementing the two more central changes. The latter is pretty hard to distinguish from legitimate play, and already handled by Battlegroup Beacons.

Thank you all for feedback and suggestions on the issue.

In your meeting, did you agree to make a clear statement that a single player is not allowed to have multiple active accounts in a single round?

If so, did you put that verbiage somewhere very obvious, for players, so they can tell when they're actively cheating?

The two most obvious places being the "Help" section in game, and in the sign-in page of the game.

I agree with John. I think we all understand the problems of dealing with multi-accounts, and that there is no easy answer that is perfect for all parties involved, but I dont think its to far out of the question to try and deter players from exploiting this ability.

Ugh, so much reading on this issue. So many threads.

The solution for a single device seems rather simple. You either:

1. Code it so that you can only make accounts for one faction on a single device. Once you pick a faction all subsequent accounts must be of that faction. Create an ability to delete accounts for those who want to legitimately switch sides at some point.

2. Create lockout of all accounts of the opposing faction once you log in. It should be at least 2 hour, but personally I think it should be for the duration of the current round.

what that means is if the same mages keep being banished each time they banished you are gonna keep getting less and less from banishing them so it will not be worth farming

another thing that would help is a report a hacker/cheater button but with a warrning people can see ABUSING THIS IS GROUNDS FOR BEING BANNED YOUR SELF the ideal situation would be having that button take you to where you could make a ticket with screenshots with the evidance someone is cheating/hacking not so simple on a device like these though so it's kinda useless

and be honest would you wanna be parsing through world wide finger pointing with nothing solid to go by? i know i wouldn't so even if they did make a stance i can see why they not wanna go down that road....

They have to deal with sore losers, people that just like to troll, and then real cheater/hackers not a fun way to spend the day on a free app to begin with..... I would however buy this game froma store if it came out for pc lol

Ah, okay. Though there are totally legitimate situations where the same guy keeps coming back and you have to keep popping them.

and we'll still be able to banish them. we just won't earn energy or exp by doing so.

This is the biggest of many numerous significant flaws this game has (no efficient dominator. Multiple accounts, though, is clearly in the best interests of the company since they hope all those accounts buy mana potions. So:

MULTIPLE COUNTS + BUYING OF MANA POTIONS = PROFIT!!!
