As someone pointed out when I asked questions a few weeks ago for my own research, Inrik is very similar in spelling and (I assume) pronunciation to the Slavic name Henrik, a form of the Germanic name Heimirich (English: Henry). The name Heimirich is composed of the elements "heim" (home) and "ric" ("power" or "ruler"), making the literal meaning "home ruler" or, more loosely, "ruler of the house"; possibly "ruler of the houses"? Inrik spirits are consistently the strongest of all four houses, after all.
