The Shadow Origins: Chapter 1- The Three Deities
- Dannyboy216
- Awakened
The beginning of time, the classical beginning to all legends. There existed the Three Deities; De'tal, Agent of Wisdom; Ak'sian, Agent of Order; and Ram'zakar, Agent of fate. The Three Deities resided in the depths of the surface world waiting for a being worthy to be granted their gifts. In the inability of the Deities to agree as to who the gift would be bestowed toward, their anger created the four alchemic elements. These were earth, water, fire, and air.
The Deities turned on eachother, each selecting a different race to be granted their gift. Upon the reptilian species' Ram'zakar bestowed the giift of fate, and the strength inherent in fate. Upon the aves did Ak'sian bestow order, the lifeblood of all civilization. De'tal, gave his gift to the life of the seas, the origin of life and therefore the most deserving in his eyes.
The reptiles, the aves, and the sea creatures were granted their realms to rule. To the reptiles went all lands inhabitable, for the aves the skies were reserved, and the great oceans were forever to be posessed by all manner of sea life. For a time, the three orders of life coexisted. However, Ram'zakar foresaw an opportunity to disturb the balance held by the orders of life. He sought to shape his reptilian beings in his image, that which we now understand to be the image of humanity. De'tal and Ak'sian soon caught wind of Ram'zakar`s foolish decision, and they followed his action. Soon the life of the air and of the depths took on a more human form.
Ram'zakar was angered at the awareness of his two brothers, and in his anger misread a premonition he had seen. Thus, the Agent of Fate had bid war on his bretheren, pitting his reptilian race against both the aves and the oceanics.
What had resulted was the first war of the ancients. The first of three wars fought to determine posession of the three gifts.
This is the first of many chapters in the Chronicle of Fatalism. I will post until the legend is whole
