I have to agree I am not impressed I watched and tried to help kill one of these new spirits. It eats everyone's mana a nd ergy at the same time making thee game fafrom free I think you will lose by making it so expensive you will lose in the end wasted 13 pots this mornings shot Irving because it regenerated with at least 20 hitting

I remember when the friend list maxed out at 200. Now, I know why. Maybe thee max should be scaled back below 1200?

I have mixed feelings too.
Seems that only few last shooters at spidy get to share energy and a chance to get the sigill. how long before our usual beloved losers are gonna figured it out and hang around weaver hunters, waiting for the few last killing shots ?
I don't know, the idea is good, but it didn't turn out right. you waste tons of pots on it, it takes forever to die, you have to be a little army, and only a few lucky players get the benefits...

I actually like the new update.
Sure, it didn't fix the lag for everyone, but in all honestly it will be darn hard to fix the lag, because of the number of moving parts there, of which GA only controls a small portion. Things that will contribute to your lag that GA can't influence:
- number of background processes running on your device;
- quality of garbage collection of all the processes you've run on your device;
- the amount of RAM your device can allocate to SC;
- the available processor power of your device;
- the congestion of your network provider's network (especially for mobile networks);
- ...
Now imagine the backlash and the outrage if GA decided to support only the latest i-devices.
New content sounds great. I've met the Arachnid once and it's a mean beast. The same things that generally drive people batty, i.e. the behaviour of others, will only exacerbate with the Arachnid. It's not the game designers' fault. Well, OK, they've given us this new headache, but ... it's a new challenge. And it's not insurmountable, as so many have shown already.
As to humongous group of "friends" on your lists slowing everything down, I really don't see it as an issue that GA needs to, or even possibly can, address, unless they want to enforce a lower limit again. Dunbar's number of social relationships that one can actually properly manage is between 100 and 230 and that's probably as good a guide as any. Use the tool smarter and everything will be fine. Don't blame the tool creator for your use of the tool.

+5 New boss, group xp, and Cloudview isn't as unreliable as it used to be, at least for me. Definitely an iteration worth waiting for. Already looking forward to the next one! Now I'm curious to know what Grey Area will tackle next.

I for one welcome and absolutely LOVE the new patch, a lot of the glitches (not all) but a lot of them that seriously hindered gameplay like the CV freeze are gone.
And new CHALLENGING content is being brought up, with a lot of possible new directions to think about in advance.
I really dont care and never had cared about levelling so I'm not understanding why ppl WANT to do infinite leveling and powerupping instead of playing the game they have.
It's like trying to grow a kid up fast without enjoying the person you have there to live with.
all in all, a GREAT and welcomed update that has elements that majority of the people HAVE wished for and now they are here. I hope more of them to come in the near future
Love ya devs <3

It gives a sense of progress when there now isn't one. You can't really advance on anything after capping the action points.
That aside, I generally like the new update. It has a lot potential, even if some of it is still unrealized/in need of tweaking.
