Shadow Weaver’s Anguish Update Notes
Ancient whisperings tell of a mortal mage whose pride was no match against the envy of those controlling the Echo. Twisted and transformed for the pursuit of magnificence, a great and terrible abomination now lurks within the shadow.
Desperate to share its suffering with all who seek to follow magic’s path, the Shadow Weaver quietly plans, tirelessly. Only by finding true light in the dark can we hope to illuminate the tangled webs hidden in the darkest of shadows.
• Powerful new boss spirit, Arachne Weaver has unique spells and abilities.
• New Arachne Sigils awarded randomly upon defeating the Arachne Weaver. There are three total that can be earned!
• Battlegroup wide scaling buff that increases energy gain for the team of the mage who manages to earn an Arachne sigil upon defeating the Arachne Weaver.
• Distributed group rewards. Mages will now share in rewards and gain mission credit when attacking the same spirit.
• Chat performance optimizations. Frame rate should be improved for mages with many friends.
• Fixed issue where the world does not render under certain conditions.
• Map cache optimizations
• Various other bug fixes & performance optimizations.

Don't know how I feel about the new sigils, but I'm excited about the update. Group rewards sounds like it can help with all those kill stealers out there. Thanks for the hard work.

I already helped kill two. but i didn't get any message that I collected anything in the process. what is shared ? it is only xp ? or do I have to be still standing in battlefield when it gets the killing blow ? (i wasn't, i was still banished for one and in cloudview for the other (yep, bad gesture pulling spell panel down) ?

Its a wonderful update and thanks for all the dev's hardwork. (Glad that you all took our opinions into considerations) But i would like to remind that the accounts that exprience "weak signal" and is still unable to login to enjoy this update. Its kind of fastruating as i want those sigils in my main account like others too.

I always like getting new content. I don't want to complain but...
I'm a level 15 mage so I can't level up anymore. I don't have any gateways near my home so I can't really help my team by farming energy. One thing I do enjoy is menacing the other team by raiding their top energy gathering players. I go through a lot of trouble hiding beacons for that purpose. This morning I notice that my beacons are gone... all of them. I can't download the update yet (no wifi) but I gather from the in-game chatter that the new spirit eats beacons. Not cool.

New spirit does chomp on beacons, doms and uses catchers.

And I can actually participate in chat discussions now without crashing every time I try to post a message. Battle lag is still terrible, but marginally improved.

Overall seems like a fun update. We'll figure out the spiders and in a month they'll be boring (or at least routine)
The lag is better too, particularly when scrolling through the friends list for me. I know other people are having some problems (like when the weaver is on screen) but for most people it's fine. Hopefully GA will get a fix up soon for those with issues!

I don't mean to be negative, but you have a handful of issues that cripple gameplay. For instance, players with large friend lists cannot even warp into battles because the beacon list is unusable. PM's are horribly screwed up. It's a social game, yet it seems clear you designed it so people would only have a few hundred friends. Fine, but it must have been apparent for many months that established players would have much larger lists yet you have made no changes to the game to address these issues.
Also, the logic behind the kill-sharing system as I understand it (I may not be entirely correct) seems flawed and still designed to encourage kill shotting by lower level players.
With this boss you have introduced an element that will A) severely change the balance of gameplay and B) will eat mana pots. If that was not the intent, I think it's how it's being seen by many players I talk to.
I think you have a great game here and I don't want to be negative, but this update is an epic fail in my book. If you have tried to make an update that was more disappointing I think it would have been difficult to do so. Please address lag, beacon lists, PM's, etc.
