We believe the Shadow Cities community is the best place to go for hints and tips! In an effort to better connect the great minds of all our Shadow Cities mages, and honor the greatest, we bring you ‘Tip from a Mage’!
When you see us post on Facebook that we’re collecting game tips, you will have two hours to post your best Shadow Cities gameplay tip. If your tip is chosen, it will be published in the in-game Staff Channel for the all Shadow Cities mages to read, credited to your name and team.
In order to be eligible, your tip must be posted within two-hours of each 'Tip from a Mage' Facebook announcement. Keep your tips to one or two sentences. If your tip isn’t chosen you may resubmit it another day, or post a new one. Don’t worry, we will be requesting tips often, and there is no limit to how often you can contribute.

If you get a spider, make sure you have beacons and dominators spread out so that the red sand does not make your whole area vulnerable to health stealing.

Two Finger Fast Cast: when casting or going to cloud view quickly, use your middle finger to draw down the screen and then follow up with your index finger in a walking motion. This method is always faster than using only one finger.

Weaver Waypoint: Before fighting 'spiders' summon a dominator just outside of the battle area. This allows you an easy to see point for targeting your warp spell should you need to dodge deadly weaver attacks, especially since dominators are easier to see than local gateways amidst the spirit glow of battle.

Ribbit Ribbit: When leapfrogging or asking to leapfrog to a position, it is a good idea to use Team Chat often for posting and reading posts with your fellow teammates since there is no communication ability on the game board and you all need to know where you are headed.
