Shortly before the end of the 'Elemental Tempest' campaign, an unfortunate database error caused several issues affecting display, chat and connectivity. We worked to correct these problems during our normally scheduled maintenance, but as we brought up the servers to begin the new campaign, we identified that some of the database issues still lingered.

We have now taken Shadow Cities down for a temporary maintenance, and are working to restore service. We thank you for your patience and understanding. We will provide an update shortly.

ChadJ, know that despite our grumblings, many SC players still love this game and are willing to stick it out. We appreciate the work that you and the other SC devs are doing (especially you right now, working on a holiday). I hope you're able to find and resolve this issues quickly.

We know these types of issues can be frustrating, especially given that Shadow Cities is a competitive experience. With that said, we are working very hard to restore service and correct the remaining issues caused by earlier's database error. We'll have more information soon.
