So I guess I shouldn't get too bent that somebody on my own team stole my neighborhood I guess. Still kinda poo. They should be able to up the value, but it's weak they can yoink the "title" out from under ya.

Ugh 5000 potions to buy and lock a region?!?!?!

Looks at wallet....Looks at ingame potion buy screen....Looks at the slow ingame potion gathering speed.....CRY.

Anyone have the specifics on the ownership bonus?

I, uh, accidentally spent 50 mana on my nearest gateway (maybe we need an indication that yes, you spent the extra ten pots, like a flare of light or something). Still a bronze level, but I've got two doms on it that give 5 energy each every time I harvest, a boost of... +1 from no ownership. That's all I can offer.

currently you get following bonus from realm value.
0-9 = +0
10-40 = +1
50-4990 = +2
5000 = +3

well the last time I checked.

yeah, the boost is not really worth the amount of mana you have to put into it in my opinion. somewhere else, someone said that bronze gave +1 to havest payout, silver is +2, gold +3. although gold is almost double the payout, i dont see it being worth 5000 mana. which, if you paid real money for all of it, is a couple hundred dollars.

whats more than that, is getting outbid. cause as i understand it: someone invests 50 mana in a gateway. someone else comes along and buys it for 60, maybe jacks it up to 100. someone else comes along and buys it out. now, if either of the first 2 try to buy it back, they have now invested a good deal more than the current value of the gateway, becuase they bought it twice.
this means that before a gateway has reached a value of 5000, it very likely will have much more mana than that invested into it. perhaps even double. and who is to say that the value cant continue to increase? or cant continue to be bought out after hitting gold? that would mean that to be sure you arent wasting your mana, you would want to wait until it had been maxed out before buying it.

maybe i am missing some mechanic to the feature or something? but the whole thing feels like a big waste and potential major dissappointment for some people. me being one of them, having bought one and put 150 mana into it so far.

I think that rather than keeping credit toward areas that were bought from you, you should just get the mana back.

Or at least lower the price, 5000 mana is more than $300 or almost 7 months of being the very top of your battlegroup, if my calculations are correct.

Still and all a +1 harvest bonus isn't to shabby if you have the potions to spare on a initial buy in realm. I've currently got a farm on five initial gates in close enough proximity to harvest from all of them. Plus One on a five gate multiplier isn't to bad.

Thanks for the info Lakuja.

Being at the top of your battle group takes more mana than you get out of the win.

The mana that you have previously invested into a gateway will be taken into account if you buy it back. For example you paid 60 bottles at first, then someone raises it to 80 with 80 bottles. So to get it back you'll need to pay 30 bottles and the gateway value will raise to 90.
