I'd ask about tether but I just considered the battery draw I have on my phone when I play. I don't even want to think about worrying over cell and touch batteries.

One of the issues is that Andriod-clients have a vast array of settings. Where would GA go with it? Using the average ability? The weakest, leaving a lo-res app? Or, just go high-end? It's MUCH cheaper for them to just do iOS, although this game is nigh impossible for play in an iPhone3 on a 3G signal.
