Protected Players

Players below lvl 5 (i think its 5, right?) cannot be attacked -
however, they can attack my structures and destroy them? i watched as a lvl 2 slowly picked away at my ward, and i was healing it just fine, but when i log off he'll be back to just eat away at everything.
this is very imbalanced - if a protected player attacks an enemy, or enemy structure, they should lose their protection temporarily, or not do any damage.
This could be heavily exploited -
Hoards of low-lvl players or alts wiping out entire enemy bases with total immunity. Please adjust this before it becomes a serious exploit.
PLEASE FIX

The moment a protected player attacks something of yours, the protection goes away. I.e., you target them and cast, you get the 'Protected player' warning. But if they start attacking anything other than spirits, as soon as that first damage is dealt, they're no longer protected. And with that protection gone, they'll probably vanish quite quickly.
I'm guessing this was meant to allow them to hunt spirits without being stomped by high-level folks.
(However, the way this works means you can use a couple lower-level players leapfrogging through enemy territory as invincible spies, as long as they don't attack anything. Not that we've done this or anything...)

Thats good to hear, maybe what i encountered was lag or a bug?
The player was attacking my ward, and i repeatedly tried to attack him and only got the 'Protected player' warning. All i could do was heal the ward.

Had the same thing happen when I was kicking over a orange dom farm last night. A couple protected oranges very quickly logged in and were attacking me while all I got was the "protected player" warning when I tried to nuke them.
It's a little annoying but it's no real hardship, worst case I'd love a "warp ward" that boots protected players to a random adjacent beacon. Other then that I know they will level up fairly quick and be fair game soon enough.

Lowbies should lose their lowbie protection when they attack your structures. If you see them do that and they don't lose the protection, please report it as a bug.
You should also notice that healing your Dominators is faster and more efficient than nuking them down, and you get small amounts of Energy for that healing work. Thus, if lowbies do that and the game is bugged, while you report the bug, keep on healing your Dominators. You are likely to benefit more than they are.
