Upon achieving level 8 you are rewarded with a spell point that can be spent on learning the Catcher spell from the Spell Library. However, due to a game bug Shadow Cities is not recognizing cases where that point is instead spent to further develop an existing spell. Therefore the Catcher introduction mission will appear in your log but and cannot be completed.

One temporary work-around is to assign the next free spell point you receive to the Catcher spell or choose the reset spell point option and include the Catcher spell upon reassigning points.

We're looking into a more permanent resolution, which will basically force the game to recognize whether or not the Catcher spell was chosen before the associated mission becomes available.
