We were promised a "fall" update MONTHS ago. You've got 11 days before the winter solstice.

Given your past record, GA, I'm NOT holding my breath. It's really sad, you know. SC was a GREAT game, with a super idea and clever gameplay. But your lack of updates (basically just ignoring the game for almost a year), has doomed it. Too bad - it could have been really something. Instead, you're just going to be another failed app company.

Do I sound mad? Jaded? Discouraged? Yup. This game and the community deserve better from you. You've kicked us to the curb. You deserve the coming bankruptcy.

GA came out months ago and stated SC is now a legacy app, just running in idle, when I directly asked them over the summer.

In short, don't expect anything from GA on SC---they're still about 11 months behind on their new project as well, from what I can tell. It'd better be a smash hit, or they're finished.

Living the high life off venture capital ?

Probably, Sean. They have a nice studio, from the pictures I've seen. I know they got a $2 million infusion back in 2011 (?), but that can't last forever. Maybe all the CEO's interviews and talks are supporting the company at this point. That's all I've seen out of GA in quite a while.

Chadj popped into a status yesterday and said that they were all still working on the new project, which has taken longer than expected. He said there is still an SC update they intend to release, but that it's also delayed with no ETA

Heh. Only one year behind schedule. Still, it'd be nice if there were screen captures or some mention of what the project is about. Other developers don't seem to have an issue with doing stuff like this, nor did GA in 2011.

An Update, Hulk, is when a Developer and a Game love each other very much and the Developer wants to give the Game something special, so it puts its love in the Game. Magically, months later, an Update is born, bringing something new to the world! Of course, after awhile, the Update grows older and the Developer and the Game grow apart. Developer loses interest in Game and starts thinking about other games. Since Developer doesn't put its love into Game, no more updates can be born.
