I'll probably give it a shot.. (since I can't play SC on androit...) but the fact you HAVE to physically move around town to play is kinda a downer to me...
It does look like a SC rip-of IMO...

There will be an iOS client "in a few months." I'm considering buying a Nexus tablet just to play this. Seems like it will be a ton of fun to play in NYC.

I await with baited breath. As I understand it, iOS is more easily coded for, but I could be mistaken.

The Android device needs a GPS module and a data plan to be of any use. Realizing this, I canceled my tablet plans and am going to wait for the iOS version.

I don't have an Android device, so I can't play now. If / when I can, I'd probably join the Resistance (because it isn't green), unless a hung of people migrate to it from SC and join the Enlightened.

It isn't nearly as dynamic in-game, and you must do a lot of physical, real-world movement to find new things. Something akin to a beacon, but one must physically be in the place to put down said warp point. AND, continue to hold it, as locations are MUCH more significant to Ingress than GWs ever were in SC.
That being said, I look forward to joining the Resistance, as soon as I find and charge my old EVO 4G this week.
