We made some interesting calculations and found out that an impressive amount of  3 444 Gateways have been discovered so far in Finland. But  13 500 are still undiscovered!

The goal of this week's Campaign: Roam, warp, jump, worm, run, fly, take a drive... Pick your style, do it by yourself or better yet together with your team, and find those Gateways where no Mage before you has been to.

Check out the picture in the end of this post, which shows the undiscovered Gateways as dark blue dots on the map.

Animators take two Campaign wins in a row

What an epic moment for the Animators! Campaign victory over the Architects came with mere 7000 energy points.

Architects final push was fierce but not quite enough for a win, though Architects did manage to get a small lead  for a moment an hour before the Campaign ended. But there was no stopping the "hippies" this time!

During the Frostbitten Campaign total of 20 000 blue Spirits got zapped. Good hunting Mages!

The next Campaign will start friday at noon, with a completely new goal. We've been doing some interesting calculations here at Shadow Cities HQ regarding Energy Gateways ...

Frostbitten

This week's campaign Frostbitten continues in the theme of Spirit hunting, but with a freezing twist. The chilly temperatures seem to have caused quite unexpected effects in the blue Spirits.

The freezing winds  have infused the blue Spirits with substantial amounts of extra energy and also pumped them with some extra health making the blue Spirits harder to beat down but much more rewarding when it comes to gained energy for your team.

The red and green Spirits are giving out a bit more energy than before too, but in significantly less amounts than the blue Spirits.

The Animators mastered the Spirit Hunt

Last week's campaign took Mages on a Spirit Hunt to the freezing streets of Shadow Cities. During the last nail-biting hours of the campaign it was hard to keep up with who was in the lead of the game as the campaign logo seemed to change color every time you logged in... but in the end it was the Animators who took the Spiritual campaign home. The Spirit hunt is on Mages! This week’s campaign brings only a small tweak to the rules by adding yet another energy source for you to tap into in order to win over your opponent.

Cast the Attack spell on nearby Spirits – the stronger the Spirit is the more energy you gain from it for your team.

As an extra reward we will also be rewarding the top 3 Spirit Hunters with 50 mana potions. Note that the spirits captured with Catchers will not be counted nor will they give any extra energy.

Architects won the Inner Power campaign

Despite the fierce final push from the Animators in the last moments of the Inner Power campaign the Architects managed to outplay their opponent - with only 699 energy points!

Never before has there been a battle ending this close to a tie in the streets of Shadow Cities. Congrats to the Architects!

The next campaign starts tomorrow at noon so fill up Mages because your team will need you in high spirits...

In this weeks campaign, Inner Power, we unlock your personal magical power!

- Power generation change: about half of your power is generated by your character and the rest by your Dominators. This means that even if you don't have all your Dominators generating power, at least some of your power consuming things still work. This way you can take more risks with your Dominators.
- You can only have one beacon.
- Energy gain for destroying a Dominator reduced.
- Energy gain for destroying a trap removed.

The Animators are victorious in the Energized campaign!

The Animators prevailed against the Architects in this week's campaign!

With the new rule set we saw more battling over urban gateways instead of industrial scale harvesting in rural areas.

In addition, both attacking and defending was rewarding when players were able to receive energy from healing.

This week's top players were:

1. The Gandalf - Animator. 100 potions.
2. Hoomikko - Animator. 50 potions.
3. Jamimy - Architect. 50 potions.
4. Reign - Animator. 50 potions.
5. Kendaali - Animator. 50 potions.

Energized

The Energized campaign adjusts the rule set by adding a couple of new energy sources to the game and adjusting two existing rules.

- Conquering undiscovered Gateways yields less points than before

- You can only Harvest your own Dominators

- Instead you now get energy for healing friendly Dominators

- You also get energy for banishing enemy players

- You get energy from destroying enemy Beacons, Traps and Catchers
