But it was really close! It wasn't until the very last moments of the Campaign that the Animators overrode the Architects in gained Energy and took the win of the Campaign. But do not yield Architects, you shall have your chance to get back at the "hippies" really soon...
It was great to see also how the teams took advantage of the new Super Beacon feature. Many successful group attacks on enemy controlled neighborhoods were performed during the past week bringing new kind of action into Shadow Cities. Good job all!
Here are the top 5 players who made ...

By Community — Comments (0)
on March 26, 2011 inAfter all the testing and tweaking and changing the weekly Campaign rules (yes, intentionally quite drastically for testing purposes), we would really like to hear your opinions and feelings about Shadow Cities and what's been going on in the game so far.
Some of you have been really active in giving us much appreciated feedback, but what we would now like to do, is get a larger pool of our Finnish beta players to share their thoughts about the game by answering our user survey, which you can find here.
We would also like to use this opportunity to ...

on March 25, 2011 inThe High Commanders of the Animators and the Architects have decided to butt in to the battle instead of just observing their Mage troops from afar. Meet Architect Battle Control and Animator High Command.
These archmages, whose locations are still much of a mystery, have decided to intervene the battle by throwing Super Beacons in the middle of larger areas controlled by the opposing team. There's a small chance of these Beacons popping up where there is a lot of harvesting going on by the enemy.
Everyone in the team will be able to see these Beacons in their ...
Architects dominate the Cloud Control Campaign
By Campaigns — Comments (0)
on March 24, 2011 inCongrats to the Architects for dominating the Cloud Control Campaign from start to finish and nearly hitting the 1 million Energy point mark!
In Cloud Control we were testing the area control mechanics and in the next Campaign we'll be putting focus on Realm values. The Realm levels will be affecting the amount of gained Energy, making the higher level city Gateways the most valuable Realms to battle over. We are also planning on bringing an extra feature into the game. More to be revealed about this tomorrow.
Though strong Architect dominion also one Animator sprinted her way to ...

Heads up on the upcoming changes
By Campaigns , Tech — Comment (1)
on March 16, 2011 inHere’s the promised heads up on the upcoming Campaign that starts on Friday afternoon. We're still tweaking the details, but to sum it up: the goal will be to conquer as many Gateways as possible for your team in your Cloudview area.
You get Energy points depending on how many Gateways within the Cloudview belong to your team. So we’re shifting focus from conquering single neighborhoods towards conquering cities.
Partly inspired also by the good player feedback, we see a new version of Harvest that emphasizes area control and offensive play.
The most essential changes to the ...
Animators win the Circle of Life Campaign
By Campaigns — Comments (0)
on March 16, 2011 inStrong spell casting by the Animators who took home the Circle of Life Campaign with total of 1 229 851 energy points! The end of the Campaign was once again very tight, as Architects were left behind with only little over 1000 points. It was also quite amazing to see such coordinated cooperation between the teams as we did during the Circle of Life Campaign. Your feedback is very much appreciated!
The next Campaign will start on friday March 18th at 2 pm. We're having a little longer break than usual as we're preparing to test a whole ...
Bug fix to the Circle of Life Campaign
By Tech — Comments (0)
on March 8, 2011 inBig thanks to our very active Mage community for bringing the bug relating Dominator health to our attention in the Circle of Life Campaign.
The system calculating Dominator health based on realm value and other factors got out of control, but thanks to you we were able to spot and fix the bug quickly.
Here's the updated rule set for the Campaign:
- Dominator health is affected by realm value but not as drasticly as in the beginning.
- Harvest points are affected by realm value mildly but harvest is less effective than in previous Campaigns.
- Energy points gained by healing ...

on March 8, 2011 inThis week's campaign brings the most valuable realms to the centre of action. The most sturdy Dominators have risen around the highest level realms in every city. These Dominators have more health and they give out more Energy for your team when healed or harvested. The higher the realm level, the more Energy your team gains.
Also conquering enemy controlled Gateways gives now more Energy than before and conquering unconquered Gateways gives no Energy at all. So this week it's all about conquering, guarding, defending... and destroying!
We'll be rewarding the top 3 Dominator destroyers and top ...
Architects take home the Pilegrīm Campaign
By Campaigns — Comments (0)
on March 7, 2011 inCongrats to the Architects, who dominated the whole Pilegrīm campaign from start to finish ending up with over 100 000 energy points more than the Animators. After few really tight campaigns that's quite impressive to see!
Here are the top 5 Mages who got their names on the World Leaderboard. Despite the very strong Architect dominion three Animators made their way to the list too. All five Mages got a stack of Mana potions for their efforts for the team.
1. Hiljaisuus of the Architects, 100 potions
2. Sateenvarjo of the Architects, 50 potions
3. Hoomikko of the Animators ...
