Academic Resolutions - New Awakening

With no end in sight to the global battle for domination, Animators and Architects reflect deeply upon the past as they venture toward the future. Only by creating decisive goals beyond the awakening can either Academy hope to master the energies that pour into our world from the shadow. Who among you will have the resolve to work toward new goals for the new tomorrow, during the ‘Academic Resolutions’ campaign?

The ‘Academic Resolutions’ campaign will begin Monday, December 26 at approximately 4:00 AM PST and will run for one full week. Individual rewards will be provided to top contributors at the end of each round and total energy gains can be tracked on the leader board. You can also view the results of each campaign and round on our global battlegroup campaign page

Don’t forget, the Yule Goat hunt continues, as we will be randomly rewarding 10 mages with official Shadow Cities iPhone skins amongst all those who manage to catch the new powerful Yule Goat spirit before Wednesday, December 28! All of us at Grey Area would like to wish each of you a safe and happy New Year!

I understand that Grey Area doesn't see this as important, but most of the mega-battlegroups in the US are still structured to be so uneven that there is no longer a competition between Greens and Oranges - just individuals trying for high scores, because there's no point trying for a team win. I'm going to keep bringing this forward until you guys do something to fix it. Orange is so massively outnumbered in "Midwest and Mountain" (20 states, 4 time zones) that nothing we do short of paying the Greens to stop playing will allow a chance of an Orange win. This is no longer a competitive game in these US battlegroups, and you guys made it that way.

(And actually, with the 60-40 ratio we think we're seeing, even paying off top greens wouldn't do it.)

You guys may want to fix the typo of awekening to awakening on the medal

I know I wouldn't work too hard on balancing teams if individuals were buying potions like mad trying to hit record high energy levels. I think it's important to remember that the game generates revenue for Grey Area. Business exists for profit, even in Socialist cultures.

Adding to what Seldon said, in the West, the Orange are outnumbered and rarely ever come close to winning a round. We are usually in a deficit of at least 100k, which gives little incentive for OJs to keep on grinding.

And once again, we get no response. I'm on the other side of the MWM Monstrosity. IT IS NOT FUN. I posted 492 energy last round. That is the LOWEST I HAVE EVER DONE, except for my very first round when I joined in the last 2 hours. GA still offers NO reason why this is "better." No consideration for the players who helped make this game what it is, no consideration for new players who are not getting any support from disillusioned senior mages. No answers on glitches, no answers on future plans. And no ability to use a spell check. All around, great work.
