   You guys missed the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, in Mexico City. The UNAM is older than several of those and you don't have anything in Central America.

   BTW, while I have no idea why you guys specifically picked UT and UF (no disrespect intended to either institution, just that there are a lot of other great universities in the US too) I will say that I'm kind of glad you didn't list the University of Michigan. Ann Arbor is bad enough under normal circumstances. ;-)

    We wanted to choose 15 universities that were in various parts of the world near areas where Shadow Cities players were concentrated. We weren't necessarily choosing them because they were the absolute oldest, and certainly not because we had favorites. Point of interest campaigns could be something we expand upon in the future as we continue to observe behaviors to campaign rules and objective changes.

This is beyond stupid, I refuse to participate in this soon-to-be spoof-fest beyond obliterating the orange masses that will surely come, at least that will be fun. Shame, you guys were on such a good streak of cool campaigns too.

    i really don't think the game is ready for this yet. lag is a problem in everyday battles let alone the massive ones we will see in this campaign. also spoofing is a huge possibly crippling problem that will be greatly exploited this week along with broken gateways. I don't think GA is ready for this.

    Anti-cheating measures are being worked on by the programming team. This campaign was put together at no cost to those efforts. In the meantime, you can report spoofers directly to us and we will look into the reports individually. No need to speculate only possible worse case scenarios here. We're purposely trying out different styles of campaigns at different stages of the game's development and growth. Feel free to provide feedback on your experiences in the campaign forum during and after the campaign.

    So do each of these campuses have a single gateway that is referred to by the university's name. For example, is there one gateway called "Harvard University" or are we to try to control as much of Cambridge as we can?

    Don't know Harvard specifically, but a lot of universities do now have a gateway named after them. These appeared suddenly last week.

    UT is one of the biggest campuses and Austin is a very competitive city (I'm lucky if I can keep doms up for longer than an hour or 2 to harvest). This will get ugly indeed.

    Yes, we chose areas where players were concentrated, not necessarily most active. We'll be watching the campaign throughout the week. Future campaigns we'll always evolve based upon the things we learn. We also look forward to developing new tech that will allow for cooler and bigger changes for the weekly campaigns

    So I'm still unclear... what's the benefit of controlling the university beacons? Surely it's not the chance at winning stickers? Is there some kind of large energy bonus for harvesting those gateways? Do we losethe campaign if we haven't held it for as long as the other team? Lenus campaign was clear. Last campaign was clear (straight NRG). Not sure about this one. Boston greenies are spending a lot of time defending Harvard but the benefits are murky.

    This campaign is horribly thought through. The only positive thing about it is it could POTENTIALLY drive the most blatant spoofers out into the open for GA to deal with; but it's in no way a guarantee. The majority of them may realise that it's an attempt to catch them in the act, so they won't bother. And considering the Animators now control over half the listed Universities, the spoofers on that side won't bother. So you'll only catch spoofers from one of the teams. You say you'll be picking twenty mages at random from the winning team to give stickers to. I'd like to request that should my name be randomly selected, you pass over it. I know I certainly won't deserve the "spoils" of this campaign for my single ward and catcher at Laval. Plenty of other people in my BG deserve it more, and rewarding at random just means the most worthy could be excluded. I'm usually the guy first to defend GA's decisions. But this one is just plain lousy. Sorry guys.

    I hate to admit this but I would have to agree with Masterplaid on this idea!!? :-/ If anything it is going to help with this lag problem because it's focused around the Universities!! Hence strong WiFi zones!! ;-)
